Ibicrom is a family-owned company founded in 1984 by Mr Rafael Picó Blanes and Mr Luis Tortosa Picó in the toy-making town of Ibi, in the province of Alicante.

Initially dedicated to chrome plating and metal coating through electrochemical methods, mainly for the toy industry.

In the mid-2000s, driven by the industrial restructuring of the Toy Valley, we chose to invest in technology and open a new line of business focused on painting and decorating bottles and glass.

After 20 years of constant innovation, development and training, this new line of business accounts for approximately 80% of our production.

At Ibicrom, we are engaged, among other activities, in the manufacture and coating of glass for the food industry. Our priority is to ensure the quality and safety of our products to protect consumers’ health.

-Regulatory Compliance: We comply with all laws, regulations and standards applicable to the safety of materials in contact with food. This includes selecting safe raw materials, controlling manufacturing processes and verifying the quality of finished products.

-Risk Analysis: We carry out risk analyses to identify and prevent potential hazards to product safety. This includes assessing the materials used, manufacturing processes and the intended use of the products.

-Process Control: We implement rigorous quality controls at every stage of the manufacturing process, from receiving raw materials to packaging and shipping finished products. This includes verifying material composition, controlling temperature and firing time, and visually inspecting products.

-Traceability: We maintain a traceability system that allows us to identify and track each product batch from its origin to its destination. This enables us to act quickly in the event of any safety issue and ensure the timely withdrawal of non-conforming products.

-Staff Training: We train our staff in food safety and good manufacturing practices. This includes training on the risks associated with materials in contact with food, quality control procedures and personal hygiene measures.

-Communication: We maintain open and transparent communication with our customers and suppliers regarding product safety. This includes sharing information about the materials used, manufacturing processes and the results of safety analyses.
